Subject:  Pete Peterson Scholarship Fund

Fellow WSSHE members,

The Pete Peterson Scholarship Fund (PPSF) would like to announce the availability of 3 scholarships to attend the upcoming WSSHE "Semi-Annual" conference in Chelan, Washington. The conference topic this year is titled "The Nuts and Bolts Approach to Healthcare Electrical Infrastructure: Electrical Systems and Safety Emergency Power Reliability". The conference will be held April 23-25, 2008 at Campbell's Resort in Chelan.

The scholarships are available to all WSSHE Full members "in good standing" that do not have any other source of funding to attend this conference. A Full member is someone that works directly for a hospital or healthcare organization and is current with the 2008 dues for this organization. The scholarship will pay for all expenses up to $500 spent in attending the conference. This may include registration fees, room, food, and transportations costs. The awardee must fill out a registration form (see below) as completely as possible and submit it to me via a reply message. The awards are given out on a first come, first served basis, so a prompt reply is critical.

The PPSF Board of Directors (BOD) will review the application and select the ones that fit the criteria mentioned above. The awardees must pay for everything out of their own pocket and provide receipts showing attendance at the conference. Once these receipts are received by the BOD and verified, a check will be sent immediately to the awardee.

Sincerely,
