Here are a couple of upcoming WSSHE events. 

WSSHE Puget Sound Chapter Golf Tournament - August 25, 2009,
This is a huge Puget Sound Chapter Annual event, benefiting the Pete Peterson Scholarship Fund.  You should have received email from Myra Gudge the last few months.  If you need more information, please email Myra at Myra.Gudge@StrategicEquity.org; or, go to wsshe.org website.

 WSSHE Annual – October 13 through October 16, 2009
As October is fast approaching, here are a few reminders for you. 

·         Make your hotel reservations.  Call the Red Lion Hotel at 509-248-5900.  Rooms are going fast so get your rooms reserved today.

·         Turn in your Conference Registration form.

·         Turn in your Technical Exhibition Registration form.

Tradeshow booths can be set up on the evening of October 13, between 4 and 8 p.m.; or, it can be set up on the morning of the show, Wednesday, the 14th.  Freight will be accepted at Yakima Convention Center, Operations Department, 10 North 8th Street, Yakima, Washington 98901-2515, beginning Monday, October 12.  Please have your name, company name, and the date of the Conference clearly marked.  If you have specific freight questions or requests, please call the convention center at 509-575-6062.  Please plan to break down your booth after 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, as many of the attendees like to visit the vendor area after the lunch break on the last day of the exhibition.  If you plan to have the convention center ship your booth home after the tradeshow, you will need to bring a bill of lading for them.  Also, if you require a phone connection or an internet connection, you will need to call the convention center with your request.

Wii-SHE Classic, Wednesday, October 14^th Evening Event – On the Annual Technical Exhibition Registration Form, please state whether or not you can bring a complete Wii set up to the conference.  We will need 30 Wii Consoles and WSSHE will supply the needed Wii’s to make up the difference but we will need other Wii related items such as a television or projector, Wii controllers, and Wii games.  On a first come, first serve basis, the Exhibitor that don’t have a Wii but can provide the related items will get to supply their booth for the event.   Please let us know by checking the appropriate box on the registration form if you can help us in any way to make this event a success. 

·       Get your company to sponsor an event at the Annual.  There are a few events that still need sponsorships.  Remember that all sponsors receive recognition at the event that they sponsor and they receive a special recognition by the WSSHE President at the beginning and at the end of the conference.  Additionally, all sponsorships count for WAM points.  If your company would like to receive the benefits of a Gold Sponsor for the WAM Program, you will need 2500 points.  Sponsoring one of these events can go a long way in getting there.

·       Sponsor a hospital member or two to come to the conference. This year some of the Associate Members are sponsoring a Full or a Hospital Member to attend the conference.  Due to the difficult economic times, some of our regularly attending Hospital Members will not be able to come so we would encourage you to help get the healthcare engineers there.  Hospital Members:  If you would like to attend the Annual, or know someone who does, but do not have funding, please let us know.  We will find a way for you to be there.
