BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

MINUTES

Present:
Mike Dodson (President), Russell Kent (Pres. Elect), Jim Mead (Secretary/Treasurer), Myra Gudge (WAM Coordinator), Tim Mason (Ed. Committee Chair), Chad Johnson (Educational Committee)

Absent:
Don Rainey (Past Pres.), Bruce Holliday (Financial consultant), Robert Blakey (Educational coordinator)

Call to Order:
Mike Dodson called the meeting to order at 8:00 am at the 9th St Grille. 

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes from March approved.

Treasurer’s Report:
Attached is the updated financials as reported by Bruce Holliday as of 3/15/07.
Current assets; $12,122.22
2007 total income $6,480.25

Secretary’s Report:
New registrations are still coming in. Jim will send out a reminder to unpaid members. The state board requests that a board member from each chapter assist on the registration table at the Chelan Semi-Annual. Russ Kent has volunteered to participate in the Annual educational retreat that meets following the Semi-Annual and stays at Campbell’s Resort that night.

Old Business:
1) Education committee:
The June 13th all day forum is shaping up. The location will be at Providence Everett on Pacific Ave. The food will be catered in-house and a sponsor is being solicited by Jim Fry for the food.

Tim is working on the speaker for Parametric CAD topic. Robert is working on the Infection Control topic and Russ is working on the seismic topic.

The GLY construction tour of Overlake Hospital tour is being tentatively set up for late May.

Also in May, Proctor Sales’ steam trap demonstration and educational program is being set up for May 16 at Fred Hutch. There could be three different 4 hour sessions to allow more people to attend.

August 8 meeting still needs a topic.

New Business:
1)  Golf Tourney will be held again at Washington National. The golf course has held the same rate for us as was charged last year. Jody Runge has asked to be a part of the golf committee for this year.
2) Mike is looking into a possible replacement for the Secretary/Treasure position from someone in VMason

Next Meeting:
April 27, 2007. The meeting will be held the Semi-Annual probably on Friday morning.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10 am.
