BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

MINUTES
Present:
Don Rainey (Past President), Jim Mead (Secretary/Treasurer), Mike Dodson (President),
Robert Blakey (Educational Committee), Myra Gudge (WAM coord), Tim Mason
(Educational Committee), Russ Kent (Pres. Elect)
Absent:
Chad Johnson (Educational Committee), Bruce Holliday (Financial consultant)
Call to Order:
Don Rainey called the meeting to order at 8:00 am at the 9th St Grille.
Approval of Minutes:
Minutes from January and February approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
Attached is the updated financials as reported by Bruce Holliday as of 3/15/07.
Current assets; $10, 514.23
2007 total income $4, 872.26
Secretary’s Report:
110 members have paid dues so far. A message was sent out to encourage
registration. It was acknowledged that last year we had the largest number of
registrants and we still are 90 away from that record. We should get many new
registrants at the Semi-Annual.
$100 door prize winners at the February educational meeting were: Myra Gudge,
Tom Pittsenbarger, and Dennis Heller. They were restaurant gift certificates.
Old Business:
1)
Education committee: The minutes from the Education committee were
presented. They met on Feb 27. Tim Mason, Jim Fry, Russell Kent and Robert
Blakey were in attendance. They discussed the past educational meeting on Feb 21
as to what went well and things that need improvement.
Future topics list: parametric CAD, quake preparation, infection control,
healthcare contractor training among others. GLY has made an offer to tour the
Overlake Hospital site. Further action needed on these subjects.
June meeting discussed to be held in the north end. Efforts will be made to set
up location by contacting facility members at Providence Everett or the Everett
Clinic.
New Business:
1) Board decision to invite Chad Johnson to attend all of the board
meetings as a member of the social event committee. He has done a wonderful job
of assisting in several of the education and social events of the past year.
MOTION PASSED unanimously.
2) Golf Tourney will be held again at Washington National. The golf
course has held the same rate for us as was charged last year. Jody Runge has
asked to be a part of the golf committee for this year.
3) Russ will participate in the Annual Conference education committee for
the state group.
4) Discussion on how to get more members to participate in chapter
functions. Offer opportunities on committees such as the golf, education, social
and awards committee. We need to advertise so people will know what is
available.
Next Meeting:
The April 6, 2007. The meeting will be held at 9th Street Grille on the corner
of 9th and Madison. We can park in the VM garage. Make sure to get a receipt.
